“Hi Dr. Nick!” (If you are not immediately familiar with this reference, please go watch a couple of Simpsons episodes. No, really… We’ll wait.)
Since so many of our loved ones are traveling such a long way to be a part of our celebration, we thought that putting an informal blog together would be an easy way for everyone to find the information that they need, and keep you all as up to date as possible. All of the details regarding the venue, lodging options, transportation, etc. will be posted and updated here, and feel free to ask questions as well.
Both the ceremony and reception will be held at The Pines at Genesee in Golden, CO, on Friday August 10, 2012. Additional information can be found on the Schedule and Venue pages.
We’ve reserved blocks of rooms at both the Sheraton Denver West and the Hampton Inn in nearby Lakewood, CO, and will have shuttle service available both to and from the venue for any of our guests staying at either of the two hotels. For those that would prefer more of a mountain setting, we have also provided a list of additional options located in the foothill and mountain areas. More information regarding accommodations can be found on the Lodging page.
If you’re considering spending the better part of a week here with us enjoying all that Colorado has to offer, we’ve put together a list of a few of our favorite spots in the area on the Things To Do page. There’s certainly something for everyone out here, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do. And who knows…you may just get the urge to move here too!
Finally, we are also in the process of organizing a trip to Rocky Mountain National Park in Estes Park on Saturday, August 11, for anyone that would like to join us for the day. It’s a gorgeous, approximately 2-hour drive to the park via the “Peak to Peak Scenic Byway,” which is an attraction in itself. More information will be posted on the Saturday page as it develops. We’d like to spend as much time as we can with everyone while they’re here, and would love to see you there!
